Trade-offs, installation & data architecture
What you trade away
VistaCreate's raster editing is shallow compared with PicMonkey's focused photo and brand-image controls.

Where your data lives
Projects, uploads and the single Brand Kit live in VistaCreate's cloud; exports include image, GIF and video files.
Why fork VistaCreate Starter instead of vibe-coding a PicMonkey clone?
The visible photo + graphic design loop is buildable, but a credible replacement needs more than the first screen. PicMonkey earns its keep through editor polish, assets, algorithms, so expect a weekend or multi-day build and a narrower personal scope.
